Where to go for help or information
The safety and welfare of students, faculty, and staff is the paramount priority at Central Michigan University .
Please know that CMU has a Crisis Response Team and plan in place to address with dispatch any incidences affecting
the university community. The university is in on-going contact with the appropriate local, county, and state agencies
should there be an incident of area-wide impact.
In this unsettling and somewhat unpredictable time any member of the university community is welcome to contact the

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS DISASTER PLANS
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) describes an emergency as “any unplanned event that can cause deaths or significant injuries to employees, customers, or the public; or that can shut down your business, disrupt operations, cause physical or environmental damage, or threaten the facility’s financial standing or public image.” Obviously, numerous events can be “emergencies”; and will be handled according to the following protocol.
